Dorette’s Cookies – makes about 120 cookies

3 ½ c cake flour                       
2 c rolled oats
or ½ white & ½ whole wheat      
5 ml salt
2 c coconut                              
250 g marg
10 ml bicarb of soda                
2 c brown sugar
45 ml boiling water            
30 – 50 ml honey
1 egg                                       
5 ml vanilla essence
½ c sesame seeds
1.        Pre-heat oven to 180*C (350*F).
2.       Grease the baki9ng trays.
3.       In a large bowl mix, flour, coconut, oats, sesame seeds & salt.
4.       In medium pot, melt the marg, sugar & honey.
5.       Dissolve the bicarb in the boiling water.
6.       Add the bicarb mixture to the marg mixture, stir.
7.       Beat the egg & vanilla.
8.       Add the egg mixture to the marg mixture, mix well.
9.       Add the marg mixture to the dry ingredients, mix well.
10.    Roll the dough into balls, (walnut size) and place on the greased baking trays.
11.     flatten the balls slightly with a fork.
12.    Bake for 12 – 15 minutes, until golden brown.
