TOAD-IN-THE-HOL­E


 250ml Cake Flour
 1ml Salt
 1 Egg
 300ml Milk
 500g Sausages
 30ml Oil or Dripping
 1. Sift flour and salt into a bowl, add egg and milk, and mix to a smooth batter
 2. Set aside for 30 minutes
 3. Fry sausages in oil for 5 minutes until browned all over
 4. Place sausages in an ovenproof dish and pour the batter over
 5. Bake in a hot oven 200°C for 30 minutes
