Apple Walnut Tart

1 large tart
 ½ c sugar                                       
10 ml baking powder
15 ml cinnamon                               
5 ml salt
250 ml chopped walnuts                 
2 well, beaten eggs
4-5 fresh granny smith apples       
2 tins evaporated milk
1 ½ c cake flour                              
125 g melted butter
1 ½ c sugar
1.        Pre-heat oven to 160*C (325*F).
2.       Mix the ½ sugar, cinnamon & ½ nuts in a small bowl.
3.       Grease a large glass tart dish, with high sides, well.
4.       Peal, core & thinly slice the apples.
5.       Place slices evenly into the greased tart dish.
6.       Sprinkle the apples with the cinnamon, nut, sugar mixture.
7.       Combine the flour, salt, 1 ½ c sugar & baking powder in a bowl.
8.       In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, ideal milk & melted butter.
9.       Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, all at once, mix well.
10.     Pour over the apples.
11.     Sprinkle with the remaining nuts.
12.    Bake for 55-60 minutes or until firm & golden.

13.    Serve warm with cinnamon cream.
