Shape Maker biscuits

     300 g flour                                        
     1 egg

180 g butter/marg                             
200 – 300 g castor sugar
10 ml vanilla essence                          
70 g corn flour
pinch of salt                                      
various biscuit decor.
1.        Pre-heat oven to 180*C (350*F)
2.       DO NOT GREASE BAKING TRAYS
3.       Cream butter & sugar, very well
4.       Add egg & vanilla essence, mix well
5.       Add flour, corn flour & salt, mix well
6.       Put the dough (rolled into a large sausage) into the shape maker.
7.       ‘Press’ the biscuits out onto the UNGREASED baking trays.
8.       Decorate as required.
9.       Bake for 10 – 12 minutes.
Variations:
1.        Omit vanilla essence & add 10 g cocoa, 5ml coffee powder, dissolved in a bit of boiling water.
2.       Add 5ml  each cinnamon, mixed spice, 2 ½ ml each ginger & ground cloves.

Add 100 g finely ground almond.
