Tasty Tuna bake

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients
2 thick slices bread
250ml milk
30ml margarine
170g tin tuna, drained
3 eggs beaten
1 sachet Knorr Beef Stroganoff Cook-in-Sauce
15ml chopped fresh parsley
250ml grated cheddar cheese
Robertson’s Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
2ml Robertson’s Garlic & Herb Seasoning

 Instructions
1.    Preheat oven to 180°C
2.    Remove crusts from the bread and place the bread in the saucepan. Add the milk and margarine and heat until the margarine has melted and mix until smooth.
3.    Remove from heat and add tuna and remaining ingredients. Mix well.
4.    Turn into a greased ovenproof dish and bake for 20-30 mins until cooked and golden brown.

BUTTERNUT AND FETA BAKE

1 butternut, skinned and cut into small chunks
1 round of feta cheese
1 tablespoon fresh thyme
3 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 cup cream
1 egg
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon butter

Boil the butternut until half cooked.
Drain and place in an ovenproof dish.
Crumble the feta cheese on top and sprinkle with thyme, chives and garlic.
Mix together the cream, egg, salt and pepper and pour over the butternut.
Dot with the butter.
Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 180C.
Serve warm.

Summer Sausage bake

500 g pork or beef sausages,
1 chopped onion,
30 ml tomato sauce,
1 sliced carrot,
400 ml water,
2 potatoes, peeled and quartered,
1 packet beef & vegetable soup.

Brown sausages and place in a casserole dish.
Fry chopped onion, add carrot, tomato sauce and potatoes.
Make soup according to directions using 400 ml water.
Add to other ingredients and pour over sausages.
Bake for 40 minutes (180*C)

 

Corn, ham & pasta bake

200 g macaroni, 30 ml butter, 1 onion, chopped, 1 green pepper, chopped, 30 ml flour, 500 ml milk, 2 ml mustard powder, 2 ml nutmeg, salt & freshly ground pepper to taste, 200 g ham, chopped, 2 eggs, 1 can whole kernel corn, drained, 125 ml grated cheese.

Cook the macaroni according to instructions.  Drain and set aside.  Heat the butter and saute the onion and green pepper until soft.  Add the flour.  Stir in 375 ml of the milk little by little, until the sauce starts to thicken.  Add the mustard, nutmeg and seasoning to taste.  Add the ham and corn.  Beat the remaining milk and eggs together and stir into the mixture along with the pasta.  Spoon into an ovenproof dish.  Sprinkle cheese on top of macaroni.  Bake in oven (180*C) for 30 minutes.  Serve with salad and tomato sauce.

1 winkel brooddeeg
1 koppie melk
1 pakkie potato bake (enige geur) Pasta bake werk ook
Smeer bak dik met botter
Rol bolletjies, sit in bak.
Maak potato/pasta bake aan met 1 koppie melk. Gooi bo-oor die bolletjies
Oond 180 C
Bak vir 40 tot 45 min

Variasie op broodjie:

Soetbroodjie

3/4 kop melk en 1 kop bruinsuiker

Gooi bietjie melk en bruinsuiker op bodum van bak. Maak bolletjies, gooi orige melk en suiker oor en bak soos bo

NB – as jy die broodjie uithaal uit die oond, haal dit dadelik uit die pot, sit in bak en skep die karamel onder uit die bak en gooi dit bo-oor die broodjie. As die karamel onder hard word kry jy nie jou brood uit die pan uit nie.

 

Mince and Pasta Bake

. Serves 8 | Preparation Time: 15 mins | Cooking Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 sachets Knorr Pasta & Sauce – Wild Mushroom, Garlic & Black Pepper
  • 125 ml grated Cheddar cheese
  • 60 ml margarine
  • 250 ml milk
  • 15 ml oil
  • 1 x 420 g tin cream style sweetcorn
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 750 ml water
  • 650 g mince
Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta & sauce according to instructions on the sachet, using the margarine, milk and water
  2. Fry the onion and mince together in heated cooking oil until mince is browned and onion soft
  3. Stir in sweetcorn
  4. Place prepared pasta & sauce in a greased ovenproof baking dish
  5. Top with the mince mixture and then sprinkle with grated cheese
  6. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 min until cheese has melted
  7. Serve with a crisp green salad and Italian bread
